I'd say don't get mad at working class people struggling to run their businesses. If folks are convinced that bikes are overpriced, explain which person in the chain is getting filthy rich. Is it the Chinese bike builder? No. Is it the Chinese factory owner? Maybe, but doubtful. Is it the bike designer? No. Bike company owner? Rarely. How about the LBS owner? Haha definitely not. LBS workers? Have you met them? So the answer is, if you're feeling ripped off paying for bike store bikes, it's probably because you see DTC cutting out a bunch of workers and beating those prices. Race to the bottom by one part of the industry hurts the whole industry. Apparently, a few E-bike manufacturers have been dumping bikes below cost to build their brand.

I opted for the LTwoo ER9 groupset. It has it's quirks and issues, but the app at least lets you adjust in real time and batteries are replaceable. Also at this point, if the ER9/X does have issues, it's most likely related to the RD. Replacement parts are currently available for purchase.

Can’t? Why bother? My old CAAD2 frame still performs perfectly. I hit the shifter, and CLICK CLUNK the gear changes as desired. I hit the brakes, and the bike slows and stops smoothly and quickly. My components are Shimano RSX. They weigh a few more grams than the 105 and DuraAce components of that era, and that’s fine.

Sorry. Bicycles are just too expensive. You got lucky for awhile with bored covid-check infused new work-at-homers splurging on bicycles priced far beyond their needs. There are only so many people willing to pay over $1,500 for bicycle exercise. Laugh at me for suggesting that small price but it was the Model T and the Volkswagen Beetle that popularized automobiles, not Ferrari and Lamborghini.

The corporate worker pay is the problem. Nothing more .

Someone over pressurizes the tire to 150% percent of the max pressure and that is evidence that the hookless rim is the fault!? Really?! We need to get some reality in this discussion. That user was at fault, period. Riding with 50psi on the front and 53psi on the rear tire is just fine. Actually it is fantastic compared with rock hard 21mm clinchers at 100psi. I did that today and surprise my wheels did not blow up!

Bought my alloy Cannondale T800 in 2004. Took off the racks, put 32mm tires on, put an 11-34 cogset on and raised the stem. Still riding it. It makes me smile watching the industry try to catch up to me with these "gravel bikes." Keep your uneccessary tech. I do not need carbon, Di2, disc brakes or interal routing. I can fix anything on my bike in my own garage with cheap parts from the internet.

Thank goodness for ebikes. Honestly, cargo bikes are killing it for us right now. Road bike sales are soft. Mostly selling mid tier (105, 105di2). Our used bikes are also in way higher demand and fewer people seem to be trading in.

I recently purchased Canyon Aeroad cfr with the now old red and had the problem chain go off the big ring coming ftom the small and canyon servicecenter adjusted for me and it has been working for 4-5 trips but now it started again 7 times the last 2 trips despite I am carefully shifting not to make it happens. I ordered the new red front shifter and canyon service center will mount on the bike for me. Do you think I solved the problem and what is the name of the small thing that presses against the frame? Do I need one of those to secure the chaindrop even more

I use a size 52cm, but with and today's standard, I use an XS frame, with a 40cm seat post and salle height is 190cm from the ground.....and 180mm crankarms. Oh! And stem is 190mm long too......with 30cm handlebar. Sick ultra fast position though.

So light.......now, do what was done in the 90s, when the seat post wasn't 66cm long and your saddle isn't 170cm from the ground.

When you rode van rysel And also those frames, what you would recommend? Hyper wheels, agile frame And ultegra di2 build will cost very similiar. So if Iam looking for fastest bike should i buy van rysel rcr with di2 or build something like this? Thank you

Great video. Yes please do a similar video for the rear derailleur. I did drop a chain a a couple of weeks ago. The chain was jammed in-between the inner chain ring and frame. What a pain. Now I know how to prevent this from happening again.

Cannondale also offered deep price cuts on it gravel bikes, in Canada, on-line. They sold out and were shortly no-longer available. I think they were just trying to cut their losses, as their previous owners, Dorel, sold the brand (as well as others). I think there was a very real risk of the brand disappearing, and this is their attempt to get back in the game again. I like the geometry on their endurance bikes, but they are hard to find in Canada. I've also heard that some do not like the ride feel of the system six, but don't know why exactly.
